Reserved parking spot by the road side, can i park there at night?



Hello all, you may notice that in certain area, the parking lots are marked in red paint rather than the typical yellow or white. This red marking signifies that the space has been rented out by the city council as a reserved parking spot, possibly to the store located directly in front of the space.

In case you arrive at the "reserved" parking space after business hours, on weekends or public holidays, you may question whether it's permissible to park your vehicle there, even though it's marked as reserved. The response is affirmative, as these parking bays are only rented out during particular working hours, and outside of these designated times, they are available for any car to park there without charge. The reserve parking spot usually follows the local council's time to collect parking fee according to the area. If someone obstructs a public parking space, whether it's a "reserved" parking spot that is outside of its rental hours or not, it is considered an illegal activity and can result in a penalty fine issued by the city council.
