Winning the Battle Against Debt: A Success Story





Through my 13 years of experience practicing as a Lawyer, I've worked on many debt recovery cases for companies.




But no matter what challenges come my way, I'm always up for the fight. There's nothing quite like the rush of winning a case and seeing my clients' faces light up with joy. It's like being on top of the world - or maybe even on a different planet altogether!



Get ready for a debt recovery tale that's juicier than a ripe watermelon on a hot  day!

It all started when Company A realized that Company B (an Airline company) had been stiffing them on payments for FOUR LONG YEARS. Can you imagine? It's like borrowing your friend's bike for a weekend and then deciding to keep it for four years without returning it. Not cool at all.



So Company A got wise and decided to take matters into their own hands. They contacted me, and together we planned on how to approach the case. Not like a revenge though, but they definitely wanted to get their money back.



After sifting through a mountain of invoices and purchase orders, I discovered something that made my client's eyes light up bright!. It was a little clause at the bottom of the invoices that said if Company B didn't pay on time, they would have to fork over 2% interest PER MONTH. Holy cow! That's like getting a bonus paycheck every month.



With this newfound knowledge, we charged into battle and filed a lawsuit against Company B. The courtroom was packed with onlookers, the tension was thick. We proceeded to  cross-examine witnesses, filed written submissions, and made passionate oral arguments in front of the judge.



Finally, the verdict was in - and it was a win for Company A! The judge ordered Company B to cough up the outstanding debt, PLUS the 2% interest per month that had been racking up for years. The total amount came to RM135,000.00. Not bad right?




But the story doesn't end there. with a little more legal guidance, Company A managed to collect the entire sum in instalments. It was a sweet, sweet victory that tasted like victory pie with extra whipped cream on top.

So, what's the moral of this tale? Simple - if you're owed money, no matter the opposite party is a big name or a small company, don't let anyone get away with stiffing you. Get yourself an experienced lawyer, find the hidden clauses in your contracts, and take those debtors to court!


 




The road to recovery may be bumpy, but with a little perseverance and a lot of legal know-how, you too can come out on top like Company A.
